FRIZZ FREE CURL - STEP BY STEP STYLING YOUR CURL WITH DIFFUSER!

Curly hair is beautiful, but sometimes it can be challenging to manage. Diffusing is a great way to style your curls without causing damage. It's a technique that uses a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment to gently dry your hair while maintaining your natural curls. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to diffuse curl hair :

  1. START WITH CLEAN, WET HAIR

The first step to diffusing curly hair is to make sure your hair is clean and wet. To avoid breakage, brush/detangle your hair before you wash. Shampoo and condition your hair as usual, then gently squeeze out any excess water with a microfiber towel or an old t-shirt. Avoid rubbing your hair with a regular towel, as this can cause frizz.

2. APPLY YOUR PRODUCTS

After you've squeezed out any excess water, apply your styling product. Start with a leave-in conditioner or a curl-defining cream to help hydrate and define your curls. To create the best cast, curl product should be applied to WET hair, not damp hair. This will ensure you are encapsulating any frizz before it start.Apply your products in small sections, making sure to distribute them evenly throughout your hair.

TIPS : Use a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to detangle your hair before diffusing. This will help to prevent breakage and tangles.

3. ATTACH THE DIFFUSER

Once you've applied your products, it's time to attach the diffuser to your hair dryer. The diffuser attachment is a large, round attachment that fits over the end of your hair dryer. It's designed to distribute the heat evenly and gently over your curls, preventing them from getting too hot and frizzy.

4. FLIP YOUR HEAD UPSIDE DOWN

To diffuse your curls, start by flipping your head upside down. This will help add volume to your curls and prevent them from getting flattened. Then, use the diffuser to gently cup sections of your hair, starting at the ends and working your way up towards your scalp. HANDS OFF!! Don't touch your hair while it's drying. It is hard to resist scrunching while diffusing, but putting your hands inyour hair breaks up your cast and de-clumps your curls, causing excess poof. Let your diffuser do the heavy lifting !

5. USE A LOW HEAT SETTING

When diffusing your hair, it's important to use a low heat setting. High heat can damage your hair and cause frizz. Set your hair dryer to a low heat setting, and use the diffuser to gently dry your curls. Move the diffuser around in a circular motion to help distribute the heat evenly.

6. FINISH WITH A COOL SHOT

Once your curls are dry, finish with a cool shot of air. This will help set your curls and prevent them from getting frizzy. Hold the cool shot button on your hair dryer for a few seconds to finish.

7. LAST BUT NOT LEAST-SCRUNCH OUT THE CRUNCH!

After your curls are dry, you may notice that they feel a bit crunchy. This is because of the hair gel or mousse you used to hold your curls in place. To remove the crunch, gently scrunch your curls with your hands. This will help break up the gel or mousse and create soft, defined curls.
